Yet even as we began this journey in a place of profound community grief, I look back on my D.S.'s words with such gratitude and appreciation. "It's Suncreek." What a wonderful, amazing, Alive! in Christ church! What a gracious community of hope! These four years have certainly not been without challenge. But in so many ways, these have been the most rewarding years of 26 years of ministry experience. We are blessed with such gifted, grace-filled children, youth and adults. Suncreek is so vibrant and alive with concern for our community and world. You'd be hard pressed to find a more welcoming church or a more gifted, collegial, spirit-filled team as a church staff.

I look forward to worshiping with you this Sunday. While after Sunday I will no longer be Senior Pastor of this great church, you will always be in my prayers. While I will not be able to return to Suncreek as your pastor, I will always be your friend in Christ. And I will cheer you on from afar (not too far, really) with great joy! And when you do great things in ministry with your wonderful staff led by Keith and Milton, no one will be more proud.

Even in the midst of great grief, four years ago you welcomed the Palmer Family with open arms. I know that you'll do the same for the Boones - for that is who you are. Simply put, "it's Suncreek."
Thank you for being such an "Alive! In Christ" community.

Yours always in the Risen Christ,
Tom

P.S. I hope to see you as well Sunday night as well for the Marriage Mini-Conference at 6 p.m. You won't regret attending.
